January 2016 – Don’t Say No to Yes!

I think most of us have dreamed a time or two about winning the lottery. And I believe most of us would say yes if someone offered to serve a winning lottery number to us on a silver platter. Seems like a no-brainer, right? But not so fast. How often are we actually being given a winning lottery number in life and then are saying no instead of yes?

There are many things we know work, which would make our lives healthier, happier, and more fulfilling for ourselves, and make a big difference in the lives of others. But yet we continue to say no, or not even realize they are right in front of us! Sounds crazy, but it is so often exactly the case.

This year’s blog series will be devoted to helping you recognize those winning numbers more often and to providing you with opportunities to practice not saying no to yes. What are some of these “keys to the kingdom”?

I hope you will come along on this 12-month journey!

December 2015 – Everything in Moderation

dec 2015 blog post

As we come to the end of 2015, I hope this Take Small Steps series has provided ideas and potential pathways that have led to forward movement on your journey to greater health, well being and contentment, as well as a sense of accomplishment. Be proud of your commitment and hard work!

I will leave you with one last (giant) small step: Everything in moderation. Using that approach as a guiding principle as you move through your day and interact in the world provides a simple and elegant perspective on this voyage called life. Across the globe, those who figure this out and take this stance on a consistent basis find the key to more calm, more balance and more harmony, which has a ripple effect. Taking more small steps becomes easier. Distilling down to focusing on what is really important, letting go of negative energy as well as physical and mental clutter, and just being still, grateful, and living in the moment, becomes not only a means to an end, but ends in and of themselves.

Moderation in all things, including moderation.
